We're a VC-funded startup (recently raised $51M Series C) building an infrastructure orchestrator and collaborative management platform for Infrastructure-as-Code – from OpenTofu, Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation, Pulumi, Kubernetes, to Ansible.
On the backend we're using 100% Go with AWS primitives. We're looking for backend developers who like doing DevOps'y stuff sometimes (because in a way it's the spirit of our company), or have experience with the cloud native ecosystem. Ideally you'd have experience working with an IaC tool, i.e. Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, or SaltStack.
Overall we have a deeply technical product, trying to build something customers love to use, and have a lot of happy and satisfied customers. We promise interesting work, the ability to open source parts of the project which don't give us a business advantage, as well as healthy working hours.
If that sounds like fun to you, please apply at https://careers.spacelift.io/jobs/3006934-software-engineer-...
You can find out more about the product we're building at https://spacelift.io and also see our engineering blog for a few technical blog posts of ours: https://spacelift.io/blog/engineering

Railtown AI is building a unified platform for modern AI-powered software development. Our products span developer productivity engineering, backend infrastructure for agent and app development, a Python framework for production-ready agents, and structured evaluation workflows for responsible AI deployment.
We're looking for a Head of Developer Relations to help make Railtown AI the default stack for building, observing, and evaluating AI agents. Project Debug raises, sorts by sex, and releases millions of (non-biting) male mosquitoes in Singapore to reduce the local mosquito population and prevent the spread of dengue and other mosquito-borne illnesses. Our trial in Fresno, CA showed a 95% reduction in female mosquitoes during the seasonal peak.
Our engineering team is pretty small and we need a solid generalist engineer who is interested in becoming a domain expert in our factory, where we do automated rearing and sex sorting. If you run a homelab, have tinkered with Arduino, and can prompt/write some Python, we can teach you everything you need to know about our stack (Go, Python, React, Kubernetes, Tensorflow).
Reach out to katejm@debugproject.com and please mention HN in your email.

Come work at OpenVPN! Yes, THE OpenVPN!
You'll own everything from developer tooling and internal AI workflows to cloud infrastructure and governance-defining standards, security, and cost controls from scratch.
If you want to build the AI layer for a real company (not just models, but the systems around them), this is a high-ownership position shaping how AI gets deployed, used, and scaled across the org.
We want to use AI to improve productivity and efficiency and make our employees even better. This role will shape the future of the company.

I'm Ryan, an EM and engineer here at YC. We have a small, 18-person software team with no PMs -- engineers own everything end-to-end.
We build the software behind YC's $6B in investments: tools that help partners evaluate thousands of startups per batch, AI-powered apps that founders use every day, and platforms like Work at a Startup that connect candidates with YC companies. Engineers get unlimited AI tokens -- both for development and to build AI-powered products. What wouldn't you build to help founders + YC with that much firepower?
What makes this different from other roles:
* You'd learn more about startups here than you could possibly imagine. Every batch brings hundreds of founders building things across every industry, and you're right in the middle of it.
* We attend Demo Day, founder dinners, and work directly with partners and many of the companies. (They make great products!)
* We pay well, offer carry in the fund (like equity), and provide generous relocation support if you're not in SF yet.
Two roles open:
* Product Engineer -- full-stack, own the product lifecycle. Rails/React stack. Build tools that power how YC invests in and supports startups. It's a wide range, and sometimes it feels like labs-like work, other times it feels like a supersuit to power founders and our Partners like Garry and Jared.
* Community Builder and Software Engineer -- hybrid role. Run YC's talent-facing programs (meetups, tech talks, career expos) AND build the software that makes them scale. You need to be a great engineer and LOVE to build and support communities.
We're also exploring a Technical Chief of Staff role to work with one of our GPs -- someone who can think analytically, drive operations, and scale what they do with software.
Checkout more about the roles, and email me directly if you're excited to learn more about startups than you will anywhere else - ryan@ycombinator.com

Hey this is Brian from Gain Compliance, we've had success hiring out of a hacker news thread before, so let's give it a spin again.
We are a small company that builds financial reporting tools for the insurance industry. While the domain might be foreign to most, we are having a lot of fun building modern web software with React, Python and Node running on GCP infrastructure. You'll be joining 7 other engineers split into two full stack product focused teams.
We've been around over 10 years, are profitable, and value empowering our customers to breeze through their boring compliance tasks, building great teams that focus on outcomes over features, and work place stability.
We wrote a lot more over at https://join.gaincompliance.com if you are interested.
We're hiring Typescript Engineers on all our core groups as we're poised to double the size of our 90-person Engineering team this year.
We're Solace Health. In four years, we've provided free healthcare advocacy to over 200K patients on Medicare, and just last week we opened access to everyone in the US. We exist to make sure nobody in the US has to navigate their healthcare journey alone. We hit Unicorn status after our February Series-C led by IVP, bringing us to $207M raised and a $1B valuation. Compensation and benefits are highly competitive and include equity!
Open Roles
- Senior Full Stack Engineer ($150k-$200k) - Senior Backend Engineer ($150k-$200k) - Staff Software Engineer ($200k-$225k, Fullstack or Backend lean) - Technical Lead ($200k-$230k, player/coach people managers)

If you want to build fast with high autonomy and believe in strong typing as much as we do, we'd love to hear from you!
I'm the founder of Normcore.io, an autoscaling game server hosting service and Unity plugin that includes all of the pieces you need to create a multiplayer game. We launched a few years ago and have hosted over 1 billion multiplayer games since launch. We also make our own VR titles that are built on top of our own networking tech: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djsPTbs7R_w
I'm looking to hire a Head of Strategic Finance. We're looking for someone to model our revenue streams, create financial projections for the company, and help design the monetization strategy for our titles. We make heavy use of Claude for Excel and Claude Code to create tools to track popular titles, store charts, basically any data we can use to understand the gaming market. We then use that data to determine the direction for the company.
Reasons you'd love working with us:
* Work with a small, focused, and extremely talented team.
* Fully remote job with flexible working hours and vacation (Our whole team is remote too)
* High work satisfaction, own entire features, and work on an SDK that’s already used by 100,000+ developers.
If you're interested, please send an email to careers@normalvr.com with your LinkedIn and a few sentences about why you would be a good fit for the role. Blank emails with resumés or generic applications that don't follow these instructions will be ignored.
Spruce lets users control their data across the web. Instead of users logging into platforms, we believe platforms should request to access data vaults controlled by users.
The demand for trusted digital ID is accelerating as AI deepfakes begin to destroy most of the ways we use to verify identity today. How private or secure is it to hold your driver's license or passport up to a webcam to get a bank account? Was it ever private or secure? Stable diffusion can break so much of this already. Society will need trusted digital IDs and credentials. Our mission is to allow them to be controlled by individuals, with safeguards to prevent descents into surveillance states and checkpoint societies.
We are the main implementers of category-defining initiatives such as the digital ID program for the California DMV, and the verifiable digital credentials program in Utah. We are private sector participants in NIST's National Cyber Security of Excellence initiative for privacy-preserving digital ID.
We are hiring skilled engineers who care about making a real impact in improving public services, digital autonomy, and user privacy for the world. We work closely with public sector agencies, and have high regard for public servants. We have a strong engineering and customer-oriented culture, and are not simply a SaaS product or AI wrapper. Our roles are not for the faint of heart: you will be expected to work hard and learn a lot in this role.
Our engineers are ambitious to get outcomes for our customers and their constituents. On any given day, they may write great Rust/C#/TypeScript, deal with mainframe dumps, read policy documents, respond to technical RFIs/RFPs, manage on-prem environments, implement new NFC + Bluetooth protocols in Swift/Kotlin, create CI/CD processes that enforce W3C accessibility guidelines and i18n requirements, rewrite lost specs from disassembled binaries, figure out stablecoin payments, and design new protections for public key infrastructure. It is a team effort, and people with T-shirt shaped skills are able to collaborate and learn a ton from each other every day.
We are interested in candidates who want to be proud of the meaningful impact they make for society, even if it takes time to get right. This is not the right job for someone who wants to "join a cool new AI startup" that implodes or exits in under a year.
See our roles here: https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/spruceid
We're hiring multiple staff engineers across a range of profiles: frontend-heavy, fullstack, and backend-heavy. We're especially looking for 1–2 engineers with architect-level frontend chops (React, TypeScript, state management, perf) who can own UI quality and level up the team. But we're also very interested in strong Go/Postgres or infra/ops backgrounds.
Day to day you'll write code (25–75%), review PRs (25–50%), and pair/mentor/document (10–20%). You'll act as a technical lead on projects, break down large efforts, and influence architectural decisions across the org. Small cross-functional teams with a designer, PM, and EM.
Stack: React, TypeScript, Golang, Postgres, GraphQL/Apollo, Vite, Cypress, Terraform, AWS (ECS, RDS, Lambda). We lightly use Elastic and are interested in event-driven patterns.
Fully remote, 100% employer-paid medical, 401(k), two company-wide shutdown weeks, continuing education budget.
To apply: send resume to jon@join.build. If you are able to please include a PR review you've given that had a positive impact (or a description/snippet if that's confidential).

Kanary is a personal security platform that monitors the web to identify and reduce risk based on an individual's threat model. An executive has different exposure than a gamer, and our system classifies each person's risk across 55,000+ sources. We've been building since 2020, started in campaign security, data science, and government agencies, backed by Mozilla and Y Combinator. We have 200+ organizations on the platform and are fully funded by our customers.
Attackers have never had better tools. LLMs, social media, and search surface personal data in new ways. A few prompts can launch a deepfake and impersonation campaign. Risk sources appear and disappear across social platforms, telegram chats, and private data broker platforms. Kanary exists to play the cat and mouse game for people at the speed and scale of an agentic internet.
Kanary is a combination of software workflows (crawling, scraping, automation), AI (data classification, research, code generation), and people (analysts trained to support customers and escalate). This is dynamic system and requires an interest in adversarial programming.
We’re growing our team, and seeking a multifaceted engineer (2+ years experience). Our software stack is python, javascript, react, and for LLMs, we use Anthropic, OpenAI, and experiment with model fine tuning as needed. Experience with web scraping, data pipelines, or security tooling is required.
Email steven@kanary.com with something you've built and why it was hard.

Electrical and mechanical engineering consulting firm in Waterloo, serving the Canadian building construction industry — a market that's still mostly designed the old way. I designed the original platform schema and UX vision; my early code attempts got abandoned when running and growing the firm took priority. The years since have been spent figuring out how to scale this properly and fill those gaps. We're now at the depth and size to support a real build — with no committee in the way, and with my time properly committed to it this time. I'm hiring an exceptional software engineer to take it to the production platform it was always meant to be.
Real users, direct collaboration with the founder, and 20 years of MEP practice plus the platform vision. Few founders building automation in this space bring both.
Profitable, bootstrapped, 18 years old. Equity is earned, not granted — a real cut of a real business, not options in something that may or may not happen.
Stack: TypeScript, React, Tailwind, shadcn/ui, AG Grid, TanStack Query, Drizzle, PostgreSQL, Python (FastAPI), Node.js, Docker.
Looking for: full-stack, agentic-first as a daily working mode, shipper not writer.

We're building a system that represents domain knowledge as modular probabilistic models — making analysis rigorous and transparent. Users can connect these models flexibly into larger structures. The system enforces consistency across them, and propagates uncertainty through each step. Our first applications are in finance and scientific research, with use cases ranging from equity valuation and distress monitoring, to particle physics.
We’re building out our team in the following areas:
* Product Software Engineering (Quantitative Modeling)
* Program Synthesis Engineering
* Applied Category Theory Research
* Bayesian Software Engineering
* Finance Operations (Accounting, Analytics & Workforce)
We're also looking for Domain Experts to collaborate on high-value use cases -- identifying and validating opportunities, shaping them into working solutions with our engineers, and taking them from pilot to production with real users. Practitioners with expertise in Valuation Models, Quantitative Default-Probability Models, or Interest Rate Prediction Models are particularly relevant right now.

When you look at the headers of major websites, you’ll see us. If it has to be performant, secure, scaled worldwide, and always-on, it uses Fastly.
We're a globally edge cloud platform for performance and security, emphasizing open standards, sustainable engineering, and resilience-by-design. We're hiring across compute, security, platform engineering, network and edge protocols, release engineering, network architecture, client services engineering, and more.
Rather than building walled gardens, we co-founded the Bytecode Alliance, heavily upstream our work to open standards, actively author IETF drafts, and power the global infrastructure for open-source Python, Rust, Ruby, OpenStreetMap, and much more.
* The Stack: Rust, C/C++, Go, Javascript, Typescript, WebAssembly (Wasm/WASI), Wasmtime, Cranelift, eBPF/XDP, QUIC, HTTP, TLS, TCP, Varnish/VCL, Linux kernel internals, distributed systems, professional services.
* Apply: https://www.fastly.com/about/careers
+ QA: We're looking for a QA engineer deeply familiar with the software lifecycle in the age of agentic coding. You'd have a lot of responsibility, but also the opportunity to define what solid QA looks like at Ontix.
+ Azure Cloud Engineer: We're a mostly-AWS shop, but we have a few potential customers that are deeply entrenched in the Azure ecosystem, including a migration from SharePoint to Fabric + OneLake. You'd be leading the charge on that.
+ Infosec + Automated Vulnerability Scanning: If you browse new CVEs over breakfast, we want to talk to you. There's a huge demand among our current customers for continuous vulnerability scanning, both in the codebase and on the deployed edge. We have some test platforms, but would love a more robust solution we can market.
+ Full-Stack WordPress Developer: Our sister company is a bit old school still: If you can parachute in to a PHP + Vue 2/3 + WordPress + AWS EC2 environment, we would love to pass on your number to them.
We're looking to grow quickly as our client base expands. Healthcare, vision, and 401(k) for FTEs. If you're interested in any of these roles, or would like more information in general about us, please visit https://ontix.io or email l33t@ontix.io with a few sentences describing your experience, interest, and where you're located.
Company: We’re building a geologic modelling software, based on reasoning, to help mining and mineral exploration companies work faster. Our goal is to create a way to enable open-ended, interpretive geologic problem solving to be done programmatically, changing the way to explore for hard rock and critical minerals. Currently in active fundraising.
Role: You are the founding engineer on the team, joining co-founder (Neil, CEO) and myself (Jeff, CTO) as first employee. You’ll have a deep influence over systems and architecture. You will have ownership through the entire stack from the database, through geostatistical backend services, through 3D rendering on the client side.
Work rooted in agentic systems, so an understanding of the internals of things like Claude Code, and a broader understanding of orchestrating agents to complete complex discrete tasks is important.
You:
- Fluent in Typescript, Python, and framework/tooling agnostic (Currently using things like NextJS, Supabase, Cesium)
- Eager to learn about mining domain knowledge around the software.
- Ownership of the codebase, and the systems that support the software (project management, CI/CD, monitoring, etc.)
- Open to doing a yearly month abroad with Neil and I. Last year, it was Oaxaca, Mexico.
Apply: Shoot me an email at jeff@deepcoretech.com with a resume, and a short blurb about yourself. If you include a 1 minute video/Loom, I'd love to see it. Must be eligible to work in Canada without a VISA requirement. We are located in Squamish, BC.

We're a small London team, 2+ years in, building a real-time consumer platform powered by AI in a category that doesn't exist yet, going after a problem worth solving. Free for users, brand-funded on the commercial side. Working iOS prototype, validated UX, advisory board across enterprise tech and behavioural science, alpha launches lined up for later in 2026.
The founding tech team is already in place across iOS, Flutter, AI/ML, and product design, with backgrounds across agentic AI, consumer fintech, and mobile at scale. The seat we're hiring for is the founding backend / full-stack engineer who'll own the architecture. APIs, data layer, real-time systems, cloud infrastructure. You'll design it from scratch alongside the rest of the team, built for consumer scale from day one.
What we're looking for:
- Built and scaled backends for consumer products under real load. Social, marketplace, or community experience a strong plus.
- Fluent in Python, Go, Node, or similar. Strong opinions on API design, microservices, and data modelling.
- Comfortable with event-driven architectures, real-time systems, and AWS or GCP at production scale.
- Bonus: ad-serving infrastructure, partner APIs, rewards/loyalty systems.
- UK-based already (no net-new visa sponsorship for this role), with us in our London office most days. We're a small team that works best in the room together.
We're vague on the concept for stealth reasons. Happy to take you through our prototype on a call.
Email careers@karmapt.com and mention Hacker News in your note. I'll come back quickly.
Looking for experienced engineers to build and scale infrastructure and data platforms for a Berlin asset management fund. We are betting big on AI to drive investment returns and build the best infrastructure to support our high alpha targets (track record >30% p.a. since inception; https://bitcap.com/en/bit-global-technology-opportunities-ai...).
You'll design large-scale data pipelines, evolve our lakehouse architecture, strengthen data quality and observability, and build infrastructure for AI/LLM workflows (agentic scaffolding, RAG, LLMOps, AI for engineering). We are looking for a hands-on technical leader, that is steering initiatives end-to-end while staying deep in implementation.
We have our roots in tech entrepreneurship (Jan Beckers), and this mindset still dominates our work culture, even as a regulated financial institution. We are a team of ~40 with a flat hierarchy, hands-on leadership, fast-paced decisions, and a little nerdy culture as people are actually passionate about their work. Stack: AWS, Databricks/Spark, Python, PostgreSQL, Agentic AI.
If the complexity of financial markets excites you as much as the complexity of distributed systems, you'll love it here. Competitive comp, relocation & visa support, stellar team.

We are applying AI to organize corporate events.
We are looking for a senior engineer with at least ten years of full stack experience, a strong focus on product and UX, and optionally some experience building LLM based products. Currently we are focussed on building tooling that enables us to capture domain knowledge from experts to streamline prompt creation and evaluation. Our tech stack is Typescript, React, Next.js and Tailwind. On the backend we use Drizzle with Neon, deployed and monitored via Vercel. Please note that we are working in the CET timezone. We have pre-seed funding from a major US VC and are experienced founders. You’ll be working alongside the founders (ex-Apple, ex-Airbnb, ex-Tulip, ex-Tourlane) and will have a chance to shape the company, product and of course the engineering culture.

Orenva is building governance infrastructure for founder-led businesses using AI — a multi-agent web system that keeps AI and human teams aligned with founder as work scales. Product strategy is authored in depth: agent specs, validation rules, intake design, output schemas, governance checks, and platform contracts. Your job is to wire authored input into a working system, not invent the product.
Likely Python or TypeScript; I'm open to your recommendation based on the spec. Multi-agent runtime, schema-first design, full-stack web, versioned outputs. Fixed-bid preferred; hourly with cap accepted. Subcontracting mid-grade under your senior oversight welcome.
Start is contingent on funding close. Estimated build: 3–6 months. Strong fit will become an ongoing technical lead / fractional CTO relationship.

We make Architect: a Kubernetes runtime that hibernates idle pods in place and wakes them in 50ms with TCP connections intact. Five engineers. You'd be the 6th.
If tracing an x86 instruction in the morning and hunting a control-plane race in the afternoon both sound fun, and you insist on measuring rather than guessing, this is the job.
Customers run Architect for workloads where cold starts hurt: real-time voice & video AI agents, long-warming JVM apps, stateful data services that can't be rescheduled cheaply. 1.0 shipped Q1 2026; you'd join mid-way through 2.0. Seed-stage, VC-funded, a few years of runway. Fully distributed across the Americas and Europe.
What you'd work on:
- Hibernation surface: containerd shims and CRUISE, our Zig-native CRIU replacement.
- Control plane: per-node DaemonSet streaming checkpoints; admission controller resizing hibernated pods in place.
- Networking and migration: eBPF/XDP at line rate; cross-node live migration to production; cross-cloud next.
You're a senior generalist. Years across the stack: assembly to frontends, hardware-near, comfortable in x86. Tests ship with the code, decisions get worked out in writing, and you measure rather than guess. Strong in Go; willing to use Zig, Rust, or C.
Bonus: eBPF/XDP, CRIU, Linux kernel internals, containerd, gVisor, live migration, or public writing in kernel/container/eBPF land. Strong systems depth and the willingness to pick up the rest is enough on its own.

All the roles are in in-office in Sunnyvale, CA
We are building the trust stack for AI code generation, targeted at high-stakes computing where wrong numbers cost real money: a statically typed functional language designed for coding models, a compiler whose guarantees double as audit-grade trust infrastructure, and a coding model fine-tuned on the language with compiler fitness as the training signal. Language and model are co-designed.
Small team out of PyTorch, FAIR, and Meta. Strong institutional VC support from our pre-seed; active investor interest heading into seed.
Founding Research Scientist: own the agenda across the language and the model. Type system design, compiler analyses that produce useful fitness gradients, and fine-tuning open-weight coding models on a language with no pretraining footprint. Publish in PL and ML venues. Strongest fits cross between machine learning, programming languages, and formal methods. PhD preferred, equivalent output equally fine. Stack is Rust, Lean 4, Python.
Founding Engineering Lead: own engineering across compiler internals, language runtime, GPU backends, notebook and library tooling, and the AI infrastructure around training, evaluation, model release, and likely public inference. We already support x86 and ARM, CUDA and AMD, macOS and Linux, and the matrix grows. Real feel for statically typed functional programming expected; the kind of engineer who picks up Lean or Haskell on a weekend because they wanted to. Have led engineering before, formally or not. Stack is mostly Rust with Python where it earns its place, primarily on AWS.
Both roles: comfortable with early-stage ambiguity, define your own roadmap, defend it with evidence.

We're hiring a junior dev who is genuinely AI-native — your primary tool is Claude Code or Cursor, not your own typing. You'll extend our agentic AI copilot embedded in Architect AI, our portfolio-management web app: text-to-SQL over financial schemas (holdings, transactions, performance), RAG over our internal docs, action tools, deploy and operate the system on Linux + Docker.
Stack: Python/FastAPI, LangGraph, LangSmith, React/TS, SQL Server, Qdrant, Redis, Anthropic + OpenAI + Azure AI.
Required: real SQL chops, ability to read Python and judge AI-generated code, a public project we can look at where you actually used Claude Code / Cursor / Copilot to ship something. 0–2 years professional experience. Recent grads welcome. You'll report directly to the Director of PM who built the system.

Apply: email chris.poshka+hn@pathos.com.
We're hiring an AI Engineer to build and ship production AI systems - not research prototypes. Startup experience is a must: we want someone who has shipped fast in a small team, owned systems end-to-end, and is comfortable with ambiguity. Big-company-only resumes won't be a fit.
You will own: - RAG pipelines and agentic workflows (end-to-end accuracy) - GPU-optimized model deployment (Trident-style architecture) - Production MLOps: distillation, fine-tuning, training orchestration - Data modeling for AI persona capabilities - The infra around it: Docker, CI/CD, logging, monitoring, observability
You should have: - 3-12 years shipping AI/ML in production (notebooks do not count) - Time at a startup or scale-up where you owned what you built - Strong Python; bonus for C++/Java/C# in performance-critical paths - Hands-on with RAG, MLOps tooling, and GPU deployment at scale
