Ask HN: Is Facebook registration procedure broken?

I have tried to create a new account after many years I deleted my old and only account back in 2011.

As soon as I followed the steps required, it let me know I was going through an appeal procedure (!?) due to an uncertain activity with my account (!!!) and they will let me know whether I can get an account or not...I repeat, I have tried to create a new account after many years, no idea what they are talking about!

After an hour they disabled the account and sent me an email as well.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on? Do they not want new users to create an account on their platform or something?!
